US Votes to Support Bluefin Tuna ban

Asst. Interior Secretary Strickland Announces Continued U.S. Support for Bluefin Tuna Protection
March 3, 2010
The United States will continue its support for a proposal to ban all international commercial trade of Atlantic bluefin tuna at this month’s meeting of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wildlife Fauna and Flora (CITES) in Doha, Qatar, Assistant Secretary of the Interior for Fish and Wildlife and Parks Tom Strickland announced today.

This is almost as bad as the CITE listing for dogfish which has crippled the effectiveness of our NE fisheries management.

Sonia Fordham should be thrown into a school of the poor little endangered dogfish while she's on the rag :/^^/:
